The Young Bucks’ Being The Elite continues to provide backstage content, including matches, for the AEW narrative and Monday’s episode showed some behind the scenes footage of The Elite preparing and competing in Sunday’s Stadium Stampede Match at Double or Nothing. But it also saw a debut to the cast and the return of a familiar face.

For weeks now on Being the Elite, Private Party‘s Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy have been tormented by apparent head games from Adam “Hangman” Page. It resulted in Private Party facing off in a fight on Monday against a mysteriously demented wrestler named BoneZ in part one of their fight against Page’s torments.

From New York City, BoneZ has been a veteran of the New York indie circuit for nearly two decades, especially in the past one with House of Glory (HOG), one of Private Party’s old stomping grounds, where he was one of the weapons in Anthony Gangone‘s House of Gangone stable.

Marty Scurll is Back! (Or Is He?)

After the end credits, Page met up with the Young Bucks in their hotel room the night before Double or Nothing to focus on the Stadium Stampede. In discussing how The Elite was in “shambles” and they could fix things, they all agreed they were missing just one ingredient, one person, who could help bring back The Elite to their “Elite” status. Unbeknownst to all three, Ring of Honor star (and former Elite member) Marty Scurll entered their hotel room and declared he was “back!”, but sadly it fell on deaf ears (they thought he was the waiter without looking) and he left the hotel room. Cue the rumors of Scurll finally crossing over into AEW (he’s been hinting at an AEW-ROH alliance at some point), but it could just be a cameo for a punchline.

You can catch Private Party vs. Bones at 17:25 of the episode, and Scurll’s “return” at 31:37.
