European wrestling fans are well acquainted with Ireland star Session Moth Martina, whose fun loving, beer swilling antics have made her a sensation across the pond. When Martina chose to sign with Ring of Honor over NXT UK last year, many expressed some sadness – after all, ROH was in the midst of a convoluted mess without The Elite‘s presence, and their women’s division was a painful afterthought. But with the news that Jonathan Gresham would be taking over the reigns of Women of Honor and the crowning of a new ROH Women’s World Championship – not to mention additions like Nicole Savoy, Maria Manic, and Australia’s Kellyanne – the buzz is there for ROH’s best year for women wrestlers.

Earlier this month, Martina finally made her ROH debut, defeating ROH veteran – and inaugural Women of Honor Champion – Sumie Sakai, and after her victory, Martina was excited about her future. That is until The Allure‘s Mandy Leon and Angelina Love interrupted her celebrations. Martina made a pitch to join the glamor squad, but neither Leon or Love were very receptive of the idea – in fact they flat out refused her and ridiculed her over the notion.

Rejected by the “cool kids”, Martina is now slated to face off against one of her dejectors in Angelina Love, with the match taking place this Saturday at ROH Gateway to Honor, a special event airing live on Honor Club. In other Martina news, Ring of Honor released her first ROH T-shirt earlier this week as well.
