This Saturday exclusively on IMPACT Plus, IMPACT Wrestling brings back a show that’s been synonymous with the promotion since 2004: Turning Point. It returns after a three-year hiatus to a whole new IMPACT Wrestling, from its leadership to its production team and as importantly, to its roster. A roster of young, talented and hungry performers who as a group were able to bring the product to AXS TV for its undeniable work and overall talent. Here’s a look at what’s to come.
Rhino vs. Rob Van Dam
In what was a shocking turn of events at Bound For Glory, Rob Van Dam did the unthinkable. He turned on Rhino during their tag team championship match against The North and Rich Swann and Willie Mack. RVD has since shown another side of him speaking about those in the business who have stolen his moves and not being original. Rhino, however, has been seething to get revenge on RVD. How will this feud unfold at Turning Point? What’s in store from RVD now that he has gone through a change? Will Rhino go extreme on The Whole F’N Show?
Taya Valkyrie vs. Tenille Dashwood
In a one-on-one match, the longest reigning Knockouts champion, Taya Valkyrie has a second match against Tenille Dashwood. The two first battled at Bound For Glory in what was an excellent match that had Taya barely winning the match. Tenille has more than proven she can hang with the Knockouts division since her debut with the promotion and is out to prove she can defeat the current champion. Will Tenille Dashwood get the win against Taya or will Taya continue to with her dominant ways and walk out the victor?
Fallah Bahh vs. Moose
Moose has been on a heck of a run and is now on a path to challenge the legends of IMPACT Wrestling. At Bound For Glory, Moose faced off against the first IMPACT Wrestling World Champion in Ken Shamrock who returned to the company after many years. Moose was victorious in the match and has recently challenged the Alpha Male Monty Brown to a match at Hard To Kill. Before that probable dream match, Moose has his hands full against the rejuvenated Fallah Bahh. Fallah Bahh has lost a significant amount of weight and has increased his speed and power. Bahh continues to have impressive matches and looks to take down Moose; who at one point kept fat-shaming Bahh during previous episodes of IMPACT Wrestling. Will Moose continue to prove he is Mr. IMPACT Wrestling? Or will Fallah Bahh get the upper hand and make Moose pay for his bullying?
Tessa Blanchard & Jordynne Grace vs. Kiera Hogan & Madison Rayne
In a Knockouts tag team match, two powerhouses tag together for the first time as Tessa Blanchard teams with Jordynne Grace. They will take on the self-proclaimed locker room leader, Madison Rayne and the new Kiera Hogan. Hogan has gone through an attitude change as of late and seems to have a love/hate relationship with Madison Rayne. Jordynne Grace recently went on social media requesting to team with Blanchard, with the hope of getting tag team gold. What will happen when we see these two alpha females team up? Will they have the upper hand on Keira and Rayne? Or will Rayne and Kiera find a way to overcome Grace and Blanchard?
Eddie Edwards vs. Mahabali Shera
Ever since his return to IMPACT Wrestling, Shera has been on a hot streak, wrecking everyone that comes in his way. However, his opponent at Turning Point, Eddie Edwards, is no slouch. Edwards, a cornerstone of IMPACT Wrestling and arguably the franchise of the company has his hands full against Shera. Who will come out on top at Turning Point? Will Shera come out with a surprising win? Or will Edwards properly welcome Shera back to IMPACT Wrestling with Kenny and perhaps a loss?
X Division Championship Match
Ace Austin (c) vs. Jake Crist
Ace Austin, the self-proclaimed XXX Division Champion, defends his title versus the Golden Draw, Jake Crist. However, Austin has gained some serious momentum by teaming up with Reno Scum as of late. Ace has also been busy with making “movies” and trying to hook up with Alisha Edwards. After finding out Ace was telling his friends that he slept with her a few times already, Alisha set him up. This led to a beating from both Eddie and Alisha Edwards this past week on IMPACT. Will Ace be able to focus on his match against Jake Crist? Or will he clear his mind of all the shenanigans and retain his X-Division title?
IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Championship Match
The North (Josh Alexander & Ethan Page) (c) vs. Willie Mack & Rich Swann
Willie Mack and Rich Swann get a bid at the titles, as the two have been successful as a team and have great chemistry together. Their most recent win was on the October 25th edition of IMPACT Wrestling when they defeated the Desi Hit Squad. The North continues to show its dominance in the tag team division since winning the titles from LAX earlier in the year. Who will come out on top?
IMPACT World Championship Match
Sami Callihan (c) vs. Brian Cage
On the premier episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV, the world was shocked when Sami Callihan became the new IMPACT World Champion. He defeated the Machine, Brian Cage with many pile drivers to take down the former champ. After Callihan celebrated his victory this past Tuesday on IMPACT, Cage has had enough time to recoup from his loss. What will happen this Saturday at Turning Point between the two? This match is guaranteed to be a war such as their previous encounters at Bound For Glory and on IMPACT Wrestling.
