On Friday evening, the Glasgow-based promotion Source Wrestling, ran and operated by Mikey Whiplash, returned to the Fairfield Club in Govan, Scotland as they presented the first ever Mayhem Rumble. The night marked the end of Alexander Darwin MacAllan‘s history-making 481-day reign with the Source Wrestling Championship, as he lost the title to Grant McIvor in a Fatal Four Way Match that also included Kieran Kelly and Scott McManus.

With this win, McIvor continues his incredible form throughout the entirety of 2019. The year has seen The Gazelle debut for TNT Extreme Wrestling and Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), where he was recently unveiled as a member of Mark Coffey‘s masked trio known as The Power Forward alongside Scott McManus and Craig Anthony. In Source, he’s picked up some huge victories over the last 11 months, defeating Mikey Whiplash and Irish standout Michael May amongst others.
MacAllan won the championship all the way back in July 2018, defeating Joe Coffey, Grant McIvor, and Kieran Kelly en-route to the finals of a 16-man tournament, where he lastly defeated Mike Bird to be crowned the inaugural Source Wrestling Champion. Since that historic tournament, The Clyde River Killer has gone on to have several successful defences, seeing off challenges from names including Sugar Dunkerton, Luke Matthews, and Kieran Kelly. Per a tweet ADM released following the title loss, he stated that he couldn’t have been prouder to serve as the Source Champion for 481 days.
Grant McIvor now finds himself with a target on his back. The winner of the night’s Mayhem Rumble Match, Ravie Davie, now has a title opportunity which he can use at any point he chooses further down the line, while several others will be looking to stake their claim to his newly-won championship.
