UPDATE 9pm SUNDAY NOV 3. It appears the initial report from a very reputable site has been redacted by the source, so it appears for the time being, Kris Statlander has NOT signed with WWE as originally reported. We apologize for reporting this but will leave the bulk of the article as a refresher on why you should still follow Kris Statlander’s amazing career as it unfolds.

Statlander has become one of the top players in all of the US indie scene in 2019 after breaking out last year. The first female graduate of Create-A-Pro Wrestling School in New York (run by WWE Superstar Curt Hawkins and WWE Agent Pat Buck), Statlander made her wrestling debut in the New York/New Jersey indie scene in 2017. By that fall, she was also working as part of Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW)‘s Dojo Wars series.

In the past year or so, Kris Statlander has risen through the ranks, initially just in women’s wrestling, before transcending gender much like how stars like Tessa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace did (and still are). She’s fought some of the top wrestlers in the world, women and men, becoming a massive star with Beyond WrestlingAAW, Bar Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), SHIMMER and many more indies, while also working special matches for Ring of Honor, IMPACT Wrestling, and WWE (she teamed with Karissa Rivera on an episode of SmackDown this past spring).
