Not long after the end to Stardom’s 5 Star Grand Prix they return to Korakuen to kick off the Goddesses Of Stardom Tag Team League. Two title matches main event what could be a big show as the Wonder Of Stardom and World Of Stardom titles are on the line at Stardom World Champions Wars.
Tam Nakano vs Saya Kamitani
This should be a tune-up match for Tam who had an impressive showing in the GP and heads into tag league as part of a featured team with Arisa Hoshiki. It’ll be good to see how far Kamitani has come along in her short time ahead of her team with Saya Iida in tag league. Definitely going to be a win for Nakano but should be a good short match.
Gauntlet: STARS (Starlight Kid & Saya Iida) vs Tokyo Cyber Squad (Konami & Death Yama-San) vs Queen’s Quest (Leo Onozaki & Hina) vs Oedo Tai (Hazuki & Natsuko Tora) vs Oedo Tai (Andras Miyagi & Jamie Hayter)
The “get everyone on the show” match. It’s almost guaranteed that the Queen’s Quest team takes the pin here as everyone else is involved in the upcoming tag league. It’ll be interesting to see if there is any interaction between the two Oedo Tai teams.
Goddesses Of Stardom Blue Goddesses: Oedo Tai (Session Moth Martina & Natsu Sumire) vs Tokyo Cyber Squad (Bobbi Tyler & Zoe Lucas)
The return of the greatest tag team in professional wrestling history Natsu Sumire and Session Moth Martina have reunited after a year apart. Last year they added some comedy to the tag league, since then both have improved as legitimate wrestlers with Martina especially stepping up big time. Their opponents weren’t away from Stardom for long so expect more of the same from the TCS gaijin. As for who wins well go with the Oedo Tai team.
Goddesses Of Stardom Red Goddesses: STARS (Mayu Iwatani & Saki Kashima) vs Queen’s Quest (Momo Watanabe & AZM)
A great match to follow up on the Momo vs Mayu match from the 5 Star finals. It will be interesting after her performance in the GP if AZM will take the pinfall here after seemingly being elevated during the tournament, especially with Saki Kashima right there to take the pin.
Wonder Of Stardom Championship: Arisa Hoshiki (C) vs Kagetsu
A rematch from the GP final day where these two fought to a time limit draw. Both stated their intentions to beat the other after the match and once Hoshiki got past Avary in Nagoya they set up this rematch. This is an interesting battle as Kagetsu is more well rounded and while her strikes are up there with the best in Stardom she can also take this match to the ground if needed. Hoshiki will be reliant on her deadly kicks and knees to come away with the win here. While the first match wasn’t great as it was obvious they were going for a draw this one should be much better with the added unpredictability.
World Of Stardom Championship: Bea Priestley (C) vs Hana Kimura
Hana Kimura cashes in the title shot she earned by winning the GP. Priestley has had an ok reign as champion but has beaten some of the best in Stardom so in kayfabe is coming into this one looking very strong. Kimura would be a good choice to beat Priestley as Stardom seem set on making her a big star. While Stardom may feel compelled to keep the title on Priestley while she’s in AEW it would be in the best interest of everyone for them to get it off her as she just isn’t over with the Stardom crowds while Hana is hot right now and has a charisma that could make her popular outside of Japan too.
