At Saturday’s TURBO GRAPS 16 tournament for Black Label Pro in Chicago, former ROH star Erick Stevens – in the midst of a fantastic comeback after a 10 year hiatus – was faced with not knowing his opponent for the first round of the 16-wrestler tournament. Only 15 of the field of 16 was revealed. It turned out to be the Independent Wrestling Champion Orange Cassidy, and his title was on the line in the first round match-up. In a huge moment, Erick Stevens defeated Cassidy, to end the AEW bound star’s second reign as the IWTV champ at 104 days.

The Independent Wrestling Championship is a title contended for amongst the multitude of international indies that are featured on IndependentWrestling.tv (IWTV), including Beyond Wrestling, CHIKARA, Black Label Pro, and dozens of other indies from around the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and more. With Orange Cassidy signing with AEW recently, his reign seemed in jeopardy, but when, where and to who was unknown.
