Following a fun “reunion show” for The Invisible Man‘s WOMBAT indie promotion on Saturday, GCW returns to their regularly scheduled programming with Lights Out, as Game Changer Wrestling makes their Nashville debut. Another great card of some of the hardest-hitting action in the US, and like all GCW events, will air live on Fite.tv on Sunday night.

Preview: GCW – Lights Out (7/21/19)

KTB vs Blake Christian

Blake Christian is a rising indie star who has worked the Southern and Midwest indies, including IWA Mid South, but he makes his GCW debut on Sunday and will be in for a helluva ride. He’s facing one of the GCW vanguards in KTB, a monster of a man who inflicts pain for a living.

Nate Webb vs Tracy Smothers

“Spyder’ Nate Webb has had a career resurgence in GCW since heading over in 2018 and his excellent work in GCW will surely continue on Sunday. The former 2x IWA Mid South Light Heavyweight Champion is facing a Southern legend in Tracy Smothers, who competed for Jerry Jarrett and Jerry Lawler‘s Continental Wrestling Association (CWA) and Mid South in the 1980s, as well as WCW and ECW in the 1990s (where he was part of the Full Blooded Italians). He’s remained a mainstay with the likes of IWA Mid South and on Sunday a Southern legend will face a hardcore veteran in a war that started in IWA Mid South all the way back in 2002.

Jimmy Lloyd vs Markus Crane

The Prince of American Hardcore, Jimmy Lloyd, has been building a solid portfolio the past year, but now the young star is facing a man-beast in Markus Crane. Both men are unrelenting savages in the ring, with no remorse for the damage they inflict on their opponents or themselves. This could be a blood bath.

Tony Deppen vs Rich Swann

Potential show-stealer here, as GCW’s gatekeeper Tony Deppen (also a regular with CHIKARA) gets to put his vastly underrated skills on the line against reigning IMPACT X-Division Champion (and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion) Rich Swann in singles action. Swann has returned to his former glory since returning to the indies and facing someone like Deppen – who was recently announced for PWG Battle of Los Angeles this year – will be an instant classic.

Orange Cassidy vs EFFY

It won’t be the technical marvel that Deppen vs Swann will be, nor the hardcore war that Crane vs Lloyd will be, but there may not be a more fun match on the card that pitting the Crown Prince of Lethargy (and also a recently announced BOLA 2019 entrant) Orange Cassidy facing off against the charismatic superstar EFFY.

Joey Janela vs Mance Warner

It was bound to happen at some point, and with Joey Janela heading to exclusivity with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) come the fall and Mance Warner taking off with Major League Wrestling (MLW), this indie dream match may not happen again. Both men are known for the lunacy in the ring and there are no depths to which they won’t sink to entertain the masses.

GCW World Championship: Nick Gage (c) vs Marko Stunt

On the 4th of July, GCW World Champion Nick Gage (on commentary at the time) showed a lot of respect for the Stunt Brothers, when Marko and Logan had a lengthy hardcore match against each other. But respect aside, Gage will pull no punches (or light tubes) when he defends his World title against Marko Stunt on Sunday night, it what will be an interesting match-up for both men.
