A day removed from an instant classic against IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay, Robbie Eagles has finally had enough of El Phantasmo‘s intrusion into Bullet Club‘s junior ranks and left the faction. And in doing so, joined his previous night’s opponent as the newest member of the CHAOS faction.

Robbie Eagles, long considered one of the elite talents in the Australian indie scene, joined Bullet Club to great ovation last fall and was immediately paired as Bullet Club’s new junior heavyweight tag team with Taiji Ishimori. But ever since the arrival of Canadian indie star El Phantasmo, who’s also a rising star in the UK indie scene, Eagles has found himself getting pushed out the door. With Ishimori and ELP winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles two weeks ago during NJPW Kizuna Road, it was painfully obvious Eagles was no longer a person of influence in Bullet Club.

On night two of NJPW Southern Showdown on Saturday night, Eagles paired with fellow Bullet Club members Jay White and Bad Luck Fale to take on Hiroshi Tanahashi and CHAOS’ Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay, in a losing cause. Following the match, Eagles seemed to finally have enough of being downtrodden in Bullet Club and turned on his partners, before receiving a beat down for his mutiny. But not before Ospreay returned to even the odds, helping Eagles hold his ground. Following the incident, Ospreay offered Eagles a spot on CHAOS, leading Aussie’s Sniper of the Skies to change his affiliations in Japan. Robbie Eagles also becomes the first member of Bullet Club to leave the group while still under NJPW contract. Obviously, Gallows & Anderson and The Elite departed Bullet Club following the war when they left to join WWE and AEW respectively, but Eagles marks the first Bullet Club member to leave Bullet Club for another faction.
