As shared by Casey from Squared Circle Sirens on Twitter, WWE has given an open invite to Croatian-born German wrestler Wesna to compete in the third annual Mae Young Classic in the summer of 2019. The news was revealed in a video of a German WWE Tryout, where Wesna is shown discussing her future with WWE’s Senior Director of Talent Development, Canyon Ceman.

By the tone of the interview, it would appear that the 21-year veteran of pro wrestling in Europe is winding down her career in the ring and is hoping for one match in WWE before she retires.
Born in Croatia but raised in Germany, Wesna began her career in 1998 and joined the Germany Wrestling Federation (GWF) in 2001. She competed all over Europe, with German Stampede Wrestling (GSW), Norwegian Wrestling Federation (NWF), Fightclub Finland, and more, and in 2008 made her US debut with SHIMMER. Due to injury, she was forced to retire in 2010.
She came out of retirement in 2016, and went back to GWF, as well as working with Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), with whom she got her first WWE tryout in 2018. At 35, Wesna may be looking to wind down her career, and it looks like if she can get back into prime shape, she has a slot waiting for her in the Mae Young Classic 3 in 2019.
