Connor Mills vs Chuck Mambo

Two young and upcoming wrestlers in the UK scene get the chance to show their stuff on Mania weekend.  Chuck Mambo has hit the ground running in 2019 as part of Do Not Resuscitate in PROGRESS and Escaping The Midcard in Breed Pro Wrestling.  It’s seen him get a new coat of paint as a heel with a push towards the top of the card.  In FCP he’s still the loveable King Of The Scramble that gets the crowd pumped with his happy go lucky persona and fun entrance.  Connor Mills is a very different kind of wrestler to Mambo, while Mambo excels as a character Mills is all about getting down to business.  Once he steps in the ring he sets out to prove he’s the best no matter the opponent.  Despite being young he’s already had some memorable matches against Maverick Mayhew and even wrestled on the main card of the PROGRESS Wembley show against the likes of Flamita & BandidoThe 198 (Wild Boar & Flash Morgan Webster) and other top teams.

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) vs. Team Whitewolf (Carlos Romo & A-Kid) vs. The Besties in the World (Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett) vs. Session Juice (Orange Cassidy & Martina The Session Moth)

This match is for a spot in FCP’s annual Dream Tag Team Invitational (DTTI) which sees some of the world’s best tag teams come together to prove who is truly the best.  Four elite level tag teams will square off here with three established teams and one pairing of two people known for their singles work.  The Rascalz have long been one of the best tag teams in North America but broke out in 2018 as part of STRONGHEARTS in Japan.  They also captured, and still hold, the PWG Tag Team Championships as well as the PWR (Pro Wrestling Revolver) Tag Team championships.  The Besties In The World surprised everyone to become the FCP tag team champions and after being one of the most underrated tag teams in America for years have started to make a name for themselves in Europe thanks to their FCP title win and recent great matches in Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling.  Speaking of OTT, one of their most popular stars Session Moth Martina teams with Orange Cassidy for only the fourth time.  Both are both known for being comedy acts but have proven lately that they can wrestle when needed.  The final team is the one with the most to prove, Team Whitewolf have been travelling Europe to represent Spanish wrestling and get eyes on their talented wrestling scene.  A-Kid and Romo have proven to be very hungry for opportunity and will fight as hard as possible to get this one.  Every team has something to prove and a lot to fight for in this one

Mark Davis vs. Rickey Shane Page

Schadenfreude’s Mark Davis faces Rickey Shane Page in a battle of two big boys.  Davis is the muscle of Aussie Open and has come to be one of the UK’s most intimidating men.  2018 was a big year for Davis as he won PROGRESS Wrestling‘s Natural Progression Series and became PROGRESS Tag Team champion at Wembley Arena as well as winning various titles in DEFIANT and Attack! Pro Wrestling.  While Davis is tough and known for his dangerous offense his opponent is no stranger to a deathmatch.  RSP is part of Big Japan Wrestling (BJW) Deathmatch Survivor tournament this year and is a former winner of Tournament Of Death and Deathmatch Survivor.  RSP represents the new wave of deathmatch guys who can wrestle as well as absorb tonnes of pain and that ability will be put to test against the current FCP Champion Mark Davis

Schaudenfraude (Kyle Fletcher, Chris Brookes & Kid Lykos) vs. Mike Quackenbush, Robbie Eagles & Puma King

Schadenfreude has been running amok in FCP for a long time now and have proven to be a dominant faction.  Consisting of talents like Timothy Thatcher, Lucky Kid, Davis and the three in this match as well as boasting WALTER as a former member it is not hard to see why they have been so destructive.  Schadenfreude has three members squaring off against a multinational team of high fliers as Amazing Red teams with Bullet Club‘s Robbie Eagles and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla sensation Puma King.  The Schadenfreude team consists of three tag team specialists as Lykos and Brookes have won 12 tag team championships together and Fletcher is a member of Aussie Open.  The opposing team is a mish-mash of three really talented flyers with different backgrounds.  With Amazing Red‘s sudden retirement this week, his spot on the opposing side was quickly filled by another indie legend in CHIKARA founder Mike Quackenbush. In the late 1990s, Quackenbush was part of a class of wrestlers who redefined the US indie style, and continues to be one of the top trainers in North America. Robbie Eagles is here to represent Australian wrestling and the Bullet Club as he is still making his way up the wrestling ladder but he’s very close to becoming an international star. Puma King broke out last year as part of Battle Of Los Angeles where he went in as an unknown and left as a firm fan favorite.  The former CMLL luchadore lives his gimmick and is quite eccentric which helps him make an impression but once the bell rings he can unleash a hellacious arsenal of moves on his opponents.

Next Generation Championship- Trey Miguel vs Penelope Ford vs Kip Sabian vs Jake Atlas

Photo: FCP/Destiny

Destiny looks to crown a brand new champion in this loaded fatal four-way match to determine the first ever Next Generation Champion.  Kip Sabian recently signed for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and comes in as one of the UK’s hottest prospects.  His time on National TV as World Of Sport Tag Team Champion proved that he was ready for the big time as he was one of the most entertaining parts of that show every week.  On the indie scene, he also had success in International Pro Wrestling: UK (IPW:UK) as a former World Champion and the first ever 2-time Z-Force champion.  Trey Miguel is often the forgotten member of The Rascalz as Xavier and Wentz usually get all the glory in the stable, but Miguel has stepped up recently and made people take notice of his talents.  He has been impressive in his brief time in IMPACT Wrestling as a member of the X Division but has had most of his success in Rockstar Pro Wrestling where he is a former 2-time trios champion and 2-time Rockstar Pro Champion.  Penelope Ford is most known as the second to Joey Janela as she usually gets involved in his matches, but she is an accomplished wrestler in her own right.  She’s wrestled in places like Combat Zone Wrestling and Game Changer Wrestling who has teamed regularly with the ultra tough Maria Manic.  Jake Atlas is someone that we have singled out as one to watch.  He debuted back in 2016 and has been making his name on the West coast indie scene ever since having even made his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) debut and has been a regular for Bar Wrestling in 2019.  Whoever wins will certainly deserve the title of Next Generation Champion as all foud competitors have big futures in Wrestling.

Triple Threat #1 Contenders Match for the Destiny World Championship: Sami Callihan vs. Shane Strickland vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page

Photo: FCP/Destiny

Three big name indie talents battle it out for the right to challenge Josh Alexander for the Desinty Championship.  Shane “Swerve” Stickland is one of the US scenes biggest stars and rose to prominence last year when he enjoyed runs as Major League Wrestling and EVOLVE World Champion.  Strickland was also featured as Killshot in Lucha Underground and is rumored to be WWE bound.  Callihan is a name that everyone knows by now the former NXT and current MLW and IMPACT Wrestling star has become one of the scene’s most prominent workers.  Taking his slimy ways everywhere he goes he is the perfect IDGAF wrestler who’s only in this game to hurt people.  He has won countless titles all over the indie scene and you can be sure he would love to take the Destiny title back to Ohio with him.  Ethan Page is a Canadian performer who also currently plies his trade for IMPACT, he has had much success on the indie scene too in places like AAW, EVOLVE, Absolue Intense Wrestling (AIW), Alpha-1 Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Guerrila among many others.  If he wins, he will face longtime tag team partner Josh Alexander in a battle of the Monster Mafia.
