On Wednesday’s edition of NXT UK, one of the top UK indie wrestlers, Viper, made her official NXT UK debut. Back known again as Piper Niven, the name she used when competing in the inaugural WWE Mae Young Classic back in 2017, she interrupted a promo from Rhea Ripley, after the former NXT UK Women’s Champion defeated Xia Brookside.

It was reported back in January that Piper Niven was signing with the WWE, after working last year for ITV’s relaunch of World of Sport Wrestling (WOS) in 2017. The 11-year veteran from Scotland has been one of the most dominant women in pro wrestling internationally over the past few years, where she’s built a trophy case featuring gold from her reigns as 2x Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) Women’s Champion, 2x WOS Women’s Champion, Pro Wrestling EVE International Champion, and Preston City Wrestling (PCW) Women’s Championship in the UK, plus in France as the Association Biterroise de Catch (ABC) Women’s Champion. She toured Japan on multiple occasions with Stardom, where she was also the Stardom Wrestling Alliance (SWA) Undisputed World Women’s Champion and Stardom Artist of Stardom (Trios) Champion alongside HZK and NXT Superstar Io Shirai in Queen’s Quest. She also appeared for Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) and in the US with SHIMMER, Shine, Bar Wrestling and Beyond Wrestling.
