Shine Wrestling returns to La Boom in Queens, New York! Shine 57 is the first half of a WWN doubleheader with EVOLVE 124 on March 16th. The action will start at 3:00 PM Eastern Time with a card chock full of great women’s wrestling. All Shine Championships will be defended and feature some of the best women’s wrestlers today.

Ivelisse vs. Shotzi Blackheart

The Ballsy Badass, Shotzi Blackheart, is flying in for another appearance at Shine Wrestling. She will meet Shine mainstay and fellow badass Ivelisse. We last saw Shotzi at Shine 55 and the following night at EVOLVE 118. She’s stayed busy since we last saw her, crisscrossing the country proving how ballsy she truly is. The Ballsy Badass also picked up the Sabotage War of the Genders Championship back in January. Shotzi has stated that she respects Ivelisse and her balls, but that she’ll be the one walking away with the win at Shine 57.

These two faced off way back in 2018 for Alternative Wrestling Show (AWS). Shotzi was victorious on that occasion. Ivelisse will be looking to get back into the groove with this match. At Shine 56, she challenged Allysin Kay for the Shine Championship and was not successful. Ivelisse is not one to ever roll over and give up, so there’s no doubt she will bring the fight to Shotzi at Shine 57.

Su Yung vs. Brandi Lauren

Now, despite the rosy picture Brandi paints in her Shine 57 promo, things haven’t been all wins and do-gooding for her. Brandi hasn’t seen a win in Shine since volume 54. At volume 55, she and Jenna lost to the team of Allie Recks and Willow Nightingale. She also lost to Allie in singles competition at Shine 56. Now she will attempt to teach the Undead Bride a lesson, apparently “for the good of Shine.” It’ll be interesting to see if her feud with Allie will prove to be a distraction for her, as she mentioned it at the very end of the video.

The Undead Bride, Su Yung will descend upon Shine for the first time in 2019. At Shine 55, when we last saw her, she challenged Allysin Kay for the Shine Championship. Since then, she’s also challenged for the AAW Pro Women’s Championship, the BCW Heavyweight Championship, and the Unify Women’s Championship. She didn’t win any of these, and one can only imagine what the unhinged, undead Su Yung will do to try and get back on the winning side of things.

Priscilla Kelly vs. Stormie Lee

Priscilla Kelly has seemingly put her rivalry with Santana Garrett behind her after defeating her at Shine 56. She’s also challenged Aja Perera for the Shine Nova Championship at EVOLVE 121. Now she looks to continue her focus on title dreams as she takes on Stormie Lee at Shine 57. Hell’s Favorite Harlot is always unpredictable so Stormie will have her work cut out for her. We last saw Stormie in Shine at volume 54, where she lost to Su Yung. Aside from a win at IPW Hardcore Wrestling in November, she’s been on a universal losing streak. This includes a blown title opportunity against Aja Perera for the Shine Nova Championship at FIP Everything Burns. The feisty, hot-headed Italian will no doubt be filled with determination for the win here. A win for either woman could easily put them into title match consideration.

Allie Recks vs. Riley Shepard

The rockin’ Allie Recks will roll on in at Shine 57. She’s riding a high as of late, being on a bit of a win streak. Allie picked up back to back wins at Shine 55 and 56. This is part of the new feud between her and Brandi Lauren, mentioned earlier. Here she will face a newcomer to Shine in Riley Shepard. This will be Riley’s debut for Shine. Riley, a graduate of the Monster Factory, is now part of Team Adams. This team of women trained by Damien Adams includes names such as Tasha Steelz, Karissa Rivera, Karen Q, and Deonna Purrazzo. Will Allie extend her winning ways, or will Riley make a name for herself? Find out this Saturday at Shine 57!

Shine Tag Team Championship Match: Rainbow Bright (Luscious Latasha & Gabby Gilbert) vs. Twisted Sisterz (Holidead & Thunder Rosa)

The team of Rainbow Bright, backed by their new bestie Santana Garrett, pulled off a major upset at Shine 56. They were able to defeat the Twisted Sisterz to become the Shine Tag Team Champions, perhaps with an assist of a certain unicorn toy. That doesn’t dampen the excitement and joy the new champions have with their new accessories. And even though their bestie isn’t scheduled to wrestle, she might just be there to cheer them on. The Twisted Sisterz are upset and angry following their loss of the Shine tag team titles. They aren’t happy with how it went down either. Under normal circumstances, Holidead and Thunder Rosa are formidable opponents. When they’ve been provoked though, we don’t know what will happen. In the video below, it shows just a little bit of the change that has happened to the Twisted Sisterz.

Shine Nova Championship Match: Team SPAM (Aja Perera & Aerial Monroe w/Ayla Fox) vs. The Cutie Pie Club (Dementia D’Rose & Kiera Hogan w/Candy Cartwright)

Photo: Shine

This one is a special match. Following Aja Perera’s successful title defense against Kiera Hogan at Shine 56, Ayla Fox laid down this challenge. Her clients would be willing to give the Cutie Pie Club one last chance at the Shine Nova Championship, with a couple of conditions. This will be a tag team match, so if either Dementia D’Rose or Kiera can pin either member of Team SPAM, they will become Shine Nova Champion. However, if Aja or Aerial win the match, Candy Cartwright is gone from Shine for 90 days!

The war between Team SPAM or Team Triple-A and the Cutie Pie Club began when Aja won the Shine Nova Championship from Candy. Candy has been obsessed with getting the title back into Cutie Pie Club hands. Aja has turned back the challenges of both Kiera and Dementia. The sides will be even, with Ayla on the outside to neutralize Candy. The Cutie Pie Club has been pushed into a corner, how will they respond? Shine Championship Match: Allysin Kay (c) vs. Mercedes Martinez

Photo: Shine

Our main event for Shine 57 will be for the Shine Championship. The AK47 will defend it against the veteran Mercedes Martinez. Martinez challenged Allysin after Shine 55, but she was put out when Shine officials awarded the next shot to her partner, Ivelisse. Now Martinez will finally get her shot, months after her initial challenge. It’s definitely not the first time these two have tangled either. Their most recent encounter was in the Shine Championship Tournament at Shine 53. Allysin defeated Martinez, to become the Shine Champion.

Martinez is tired of being passed over and is ready to take what is hers. Allysin Kay doesn’t care who is across the ring from her, because she will always defend her championship. The two former Mae Young Classic competitors are both respected veterans. This match between them will be a can’t miss event. Will it be pinkies up or pinkies down?

All this amazing action goes down on Saturday, March 16th at La Boom in Queens, New York. The event will kick off at 3:00 PM Eastern, and if you can’t make it out in person, you have options. You can subscribe to Club WWN, or you can purchase the event on WWN Live.com or Fite.TV.
