Indiana’s Black Label Pro has introduced two singles titles over the past year or so, starting with the BLP Heavyweight Championship, and then last year with the BLP Indiana State Championship. This Saturday, they will crown the first ever BLP Tag Team Champions, all built around another great card of emerging Midwest talent and national favorites. The event streams live on IndependentWrestling.tv

Bear Bronson vs. Jeremy Wyatt

Bear Bronson is an emerging Big Man in the US indies, and the Create-A-Pro trained grappler is only 23 years old. He’s worked Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW)‘s Dojo Wars and competed for the likes of Chaotic Wrestling, Wrestling Has A Tomorrow (WHAT), and mentor Pat Buck‘s Wrestle Pro, before making his Black Label Pro debut earlier this year. He’ll be looking to continue his rise on Saturday as he faces Kansas City veteran Jeremy Wyatt who has been wrestling since the early 2000s. A 4x Metro Pro Wrestling (MPW) Heavyweight Champion in Kansas, he’s also worked for St. Louis Anarchy and Iowa’s 3XWrestling (3XW), where he’s a former 5x 3XW Heavyweight Champion. That’s a lot of experience for Bear to face, but he’ll be looking to prove he belongs.

Cabana Man Dan, Boomer Hatfield & Jake Lander vs. Brian Pillman Jr., Tre LaMar & Missile Assault Man

A fun mixture of talent in this 6-man tag team match, that sees 18-year vet Cabana Man Dan lead one team. A longtime veteran of Alabama’s Pro South Wrestling (PSW), he’s been venturing out into new territory with the likes of CHIKARA, Southern Underground Pro (SUP) and ACTION Wrestling lately. He’s teaming with one of CHIKARA’s rising young stars, Boomer Hatfield, the “son” of CHIKARA legend Dasher Hatfield, as well as emerging Midwest indie star Jake Lander. They face a team led by the new Loose Cannon, Brian Pillman Jr., who has become a national star in the new Hart Foundation in Major League Wrestling (MLW). He’s joined by a young star from Ohio in Tre LaMar, part of the No Consequences stable that also includes Joshua BishopAJ Gray, and other rising stars from Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW). Their trio is rounded out by another CHIKARA veteran in one of the former members of The Colony, Missile Assault Man (formerly Missle Assault Ant).

Rickey Shane Page vs. Swoggle

Former WWE Superstar Swoggle continues his tour around the indies with a heck of a matchup, as the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion gets ready for a tough fight against former CZW World Heavyweight Champion Rickey Shane Page. Page is more known for his hardcore matches than his cruiserweight ones, so it’ll be an interesting match to see if Swoggle can get as rough and ready as Page is notorious for.

Tag Team Championship Opening Round: Space Pirates (Shane Sabre & Space Monkey) vs. Sadkampf (Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku) vs. Hysteria (Cole Radrick & Sage Phillips) vs. To Infinity And Beyond (Colin Delaney & Cheech)

The first four-team matchup to determine a finalist for the Black Label Pro Tag Team Championship match later in the night involves four solid tandems. Space Pirates are the current reigning Alpha-1 Tag Team Champions in Canada and Shane Sabre & Space Monkey are no strangers to high caliber matches. Sadkampf is fairly new as a team, but Dominic Garrini (EVOLVE, AIW, etc.) has made a name for himself and Kevin Ku is one of the top stars from the resurging Southern indies, and are the current reigning Pro Wrestling Freedom Tag Team Champions in Indiana. Sage Phillips & Cole Radrick, known together as Hysteria, have been working their way up in IWA Mid South and would love to score their first gold together. Lastly, the fourth team are legends of the Midwest tag team scene, as To Infinity And Beyond are the reigning and 4x AIW Tag Team Champions.

Tag Team Championship Opening Round: Philly Marino Experience (Philly Collins & Marino Tenaglia) vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page & Kobe Durst vs. #NoNewFriends (Danny Adams & Mike Outlaw) vs. The Production (Eddie Only & Derrick Director)

The second four-way to determine the second finalist for the BLP Tag Team titles also features some solid teams. The Philly Marino Experience has emerged as one of the hottest new tag teams in AIW the past year and they’re the reigning 2x Tag Team Champions with Ohio’s Mega Championship Wrestling (MEGA). When first announced, BLP Heavyweight Champion “All Ego” Ethan Page paired up with one of his wrestlers from his Alpha-1 promotion back in Canada, Kobe Durst, who was the BLP Indiana State Champion, with the intent to secure all the gold in BLP. Durst has since lost the title to Jake Parnell, but their focus will still be on the tag titles. No New Friends has been working their way into the tag title picture in Glory Pro the past year, but they’ve been working BLP steady as well. Now that titles are in the picture, so are No New Friends. The Production is a stable from AIW who previously held AIW Tag Team gold (held by Magnum CK & Frankie Flynn) but on Saturday they’re sending Eddie Only and Derrick Director to challenge for more gold for the faction.

BLP Indiana State Championship, I Quit Match: “Warhorse” Jake Parnell (c) vs. Gary Jay

Photo: Black Label Pro

With BLP Heavyweight Champion Ethan Page in the tag team tournament, it leaves the BLP Indiana State title as BLP’s only existing title being defended (until they crown the first BLP Tag Team Champions later in the night). Last month at BLP Unplugged, one of the Midwest’s top young stars “Warhorse” Jake Parnell defeated Kobe Durst for the belt and his first title defense is against one of the Southern indies most lethal veterans in Gary Jay. Thes two have warred all over the US indie scene the past year, in tag team and singles action, with Gary Jay holding the last two wins over Parnell in singles competition (at Paradigm Pro Wrestling in Indiana last month and at CZW Better Than Our Best last October), but Parnell defeated Jay last year in a title defense of his ZERO1 USA World Junior Heavyweight title in Chicago at EVOLVE 110 last August. These two know each other well and will stop at nothing to win.

Indepdendent Wrestling Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. “Filthy” Tom Lawlor

Photo: Black Label Pro

With the show airing live on IndependentWrestling.tv, the Independent Wrestling Championship will also be on the line, as the reigning champion Orange Cassidy looks to chock up another title defense in his near 70-day reign as champ. The Clown Prince of Lethargy has had impressive defenses against Eddie Kingston, Chris Dickinson, and John Silver so far since defeating Tracy Williams last December, but on Saturday he puts the belt on the line against a former UFC fighter and the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion “Filthy” Tom Lawlor. Cassidy has pulled out some impressive moves when he’s pushed to his limit and Lawlor is definitely someone who will do just that.
