Mike Quackenbush Working NXT Live Events This Week

Late last year, CHIKARA founder and indie legend Mike Quackenbush did a week as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center. He’s back again this week, but from the looks of his Twitter feed, he’s doing more than just guest training.

At the beginning of the week, he posted a mysterious tweet that stated he had “embarked on a fun new adventure” and that “the future beckons”. Amidst the various shots of him working with such WWE talent as NXT’s Xia Li and WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss, are photos of him working at the NXT Live Events this week, with one shot, posted by NXT producer Steve Corino, of Quackenbush working the production booth alongside Corino and Norman Smiley on Thursday night.

On Friday night, he posted another tweet himself, this time showing the NXT action live off a viewing monitor at another NXT Live Event in St. Petersburg, Florida.

While Quackenbush is a frequent guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center over the years, this latest round seems to see him doing some training himself. Could we see Quackenbush joining NXT as part of the new mandate to add new producers and agents to all the brands like we’ve seen of late with the addition of Abyss, Sonjay DuttShawn Daivari, Shane “Hurricane” Helms , and Jeff Jarrett?

In the meantime, Quackenbush’s own CHIKARA promotion is set to kick off Season 20 this weekend, with National Pro Wrestling Day on Sunday.
