International Wrestling Association Florida had successful tapings last month. The company that was inspired by the resurgence if the IWA brand in Puerto Rico, looks to continue their good streak on November 24.
The IWA FL tapings featured former WWE wrestler and IWA Puerto Rico founder Savio Vega. Alongside the Boricua, promising stars like Serpentico, Oraculo and Sr.C debuted for the company. The show was held in the Pro Wrestling 2.0 training facility, in which Santana Garrett and Mecha Wolf 450 hold training sessions. The taping had a good reception and tons of energy.
In their latest Facebook show, IWA FL announced that their new set of tapings were having Canadian-Puerto Rican wrestling hero, Shane the Glamour Boy. The former is the first ever IWA PR World Heavyweight Champion. He’s the only wrestler on the island to hold the World Wrestling Council Universal Championship, the IWA PR World Championship, and the World Wrestling League Heavyweight Championship, which are the three main titles of the three top promotions in Puerto Rican Wrestling history.
What makes Shane so special for the IWA FL Tapings is his history with Savio Vega and with IWA itself. After wrestling some time for WWC, Shane became the face of IWA PR in the early 2000s. His broken Spanish accent and high energy garnered the love of fans on the island. Shane filled 5,000 seat arenas on the regular basis for IWA PR – in their hot period. Shane would later join 4x AAA Mega Champion El Mesias and become the greatest tag team to ever dominate IWA PR. Los Hermanos del Dolor (Brothers of Pain) had a legendary feud with The Star Corporation (Chicky Starr & Victor the Bodyguard) and help establish Mesias as the future of Puerto Rican Wrestling.
The upcoming tapings will not only feature Shane the Glamour Boy. Many WWL wrestlers like Angel Fashion, Westside Mafia and even Flash Flanagan (Slash Venom) said on the recent Facebook announcement that they’ll soon debut for the newly started project.
