When he won the tag team battle royal, Braun Strowman reinforced everyone’s awareness of just how dominant he is both as a performer and a character. While no decision has been made on his partner, names such as Alexa Bliss and Mark Henry, among others have been suggested. A great deal of speculation has gone around about whom will be his partner, or what others may consider the person Strowman casts a shadow on. He has had encounters with various performers, both as allies and as enemies. While it would be amusing to see Roman Reigns side with him, another idea could be the wild rumor that his partner would be WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. Anything could happen. Here are a few ideas for who Strowman may align with against when facing Cesaro and Sheamus at Wrestlemania for the Raw tag team championships.
He was thrown into the lake of reincarnation, and since then what has become of the man known as Bray Wyatt? Perhaps that incident will be Wyatt’s awakening to what he was before and help redeem him, help him find who he is and provide a new outlook on himself and his character. In the past, he was a prophet or cult leader that brought along followers to do his bidding. What if Strowman, one former follower, saw a different side of Bray? Unlike Wyatt’s relationship with Rowan and Harper towards the end of their time together, Wyatt and Strowman had no animosity towards one another. Could a reunion of these two be an option come WrestleMania?
After being out for some time with a torn ACL, Big Cass has been cleared to return to the ring. A return as part of a tag team with Strowman could either mean he is on a team that would not just be successful, but dominant or would leave it open for a feud coming out the match if they aren’t successful. For someone that hasn’t been seen for so long to be reintroduced into a big storyline, there is only one way to describe it and Cass is going to spell it out for you: W-W-E R-A-W T-A-G T-E-A-M C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N-S. Could this be a case where Cass is the face and Strowman is the heel, or would Cass maintain the heel status that he was in at the time of his injury, and walk out on Strowman costing him a championship?
On more than one occasion, Strowman was able to use his hands to take out the world’s largest athlete. Many will recall the suplex that caused the ring collapse. Their battles were quite impressive, as the much more slender Big Show was competing at a lower weight. So, we saw two super heavyweights moving around with a fair amount of agility. Big Show has been recovering from surgery, a recovery that unfortunately has taken more time than expected because of complications. It would certainly be a welcome return for him to appear at Wrestlemania and capture championship gold before he officially ends his career.
The pairing of these two men could come about if for one night Strowman had no problem ‘walking with Elias‘. Of course, Elias would have to walk well behind the monster among men. A name for this duo has already been coined, based on their matchup that involved various musical instruments, the symphony of destruction. This teaming would put Elias into a position where he may not need to do very much at all. While the possibility of including Elias may seem interesting, it is also flawed in that Elias would clearly be the ‘weak link’ of the duo.
Strowman and Kane have had their differences, and in their battles we have seen Strowman pushed to the brink and not only push back, but do so in a manner that he completely destroyed the big red machine. They last faced each other in a qualifying match for Elimination Chamber, when Strowman laid waste to Kane. This union could be based on necessity, but could also be based on mutual respect. There are no assurances that this duo would be an effective combination, of course, as keeping them apart may have been for a very good reason. This could, however, be an instance where Demons and Monsters actually play well enough with one another that the nearly fifty year old Kane could capture another championship, giving a nice end to a very successful career.
