In a shocking turn of events, longtime Impact Wrestling personnel Jeremy Borash has left Impact Wrestling and signed with the WWE, in reports from PWInsider. Borash finished up announcing duties on the recent tapings, as well as events taped at House of Hardcore this weekend. According to the report, Borash was at the WWE events this past weekend, but told people he was just “visiting friends”. Borash apparently gave his notice to Impact last week and will be starting with the WWE very soon, although his role with the company has not been defined. In Impact, Borash was their multi-media guy as well as working in creative, most notably working with Matt Hardy on the Broken Universe.
Jeremy Borash was one of Impact Wrestling’s longest tenured employees, with them since the company’s inception in 2002. Prior to that, he worked for WCW from 1999 until it’s purchase from the WWE in 2001. At the age of 15, he began a weekly wrestling radio program and a decade later, through a friendship with WCW’s multi-media expert (and now Impact employee) Bob Ryder, was hired to host WCW Live! in 1999.
Since working with TNA in 2002, Borash has worn many caps with the promotion, from ring announcing to commentary, video editing, and creative, working with many of Impact’s top stars in fleshing out their stories and characters, as well as helping guide the company through many of it’s darkest times.

If the rumor is true, BIG GET for #WWE signing @JeremyBorash. Ultimate utility guy who can wear many hats. Good creative guy too if allowed to speak his voice. BIG LOSS for his former employer. #RealityCheck

Big congrats to my long time buddy, @JeremyBorash!! What a huge asset and gain for WWE as JB is so talented in every single role he was involved in. The glue that held Impact together for so long. Was a blast to have worked with him for about a decade. Knock ‘em dead, JB!! 👊🏼
