The Rascalz became the new Pro Wrestling Guerilla tag team champions last night in the final event from PWG in Reseda, California at AllStar Weekend 14 Night One against PWG Tag Team champions Jeff Cobb and Matt Riddle and The Young Bucks in a Three-Way. Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier are former AAW Pro tag team champions in their home of Dayton, Ohio and former Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) tag team champions after teaming since 2015. Zachary Wentz made his  PWG debut just one month ago at Time Is A Flat Circle and Dezmond Xavier debuted one year ago.

While it seemed The Chosen Bros, the team of Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb, would reign supreme as PWG Tag Team Champions for a very long time this shouldn’t come as a surprise championship change. Wentz may only have four years of wrestling experience but his partner Dezmond Xavier has been wrestling since 2011. The tag team formerly known as Scarlet And Graves have earned plenty of experience and acclaim in Rockstar Pro Wrestling and WrestleCircus as well, where Xavier became WrestleCircus Sideshow Champion. Earlier this year at Dragon Gate: Open The New Year Gate on January 13, Xavier and Wentz made their Dragon Gate debuts and Wentz has been shining in Japan ever since while Xavier spends his time in Impact Wrestling as a former Super X Cup tournament winner.

A great tag team is only as good as both parties and both of The Rascalz have proven to be great singles wrestlers as well as a highly athletic and well-oiled tag team. That was the key to the man that is “Too Sick For This World” Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier unseating The Chosen Bros as PWG champions and now The Rascalz lead PWG into a new era in a new home on Broadway, Los Angeles going into the the rest of 2018. The Rascalz and Ohio Vs Everything (Dave Crist and Jake Crist) are about to reignite a years-long feud it would appear in the very near future from Ohio to Los Angeles.
